I think everyone was hoping for clearer guidelines after the Prime Minister’s announcement last night. We understood the government’s message to be: ‘Stay Alert’, and those who cannot work from home have been encouraged to return to work if social distancing can be maintained. We would like you to know that we will await further clarification as to which industries this applies before we make plans to re-open. Barbering cannot be maintained with social distancing. As you can appreciate, we rely on close contact with our clients to carry out services. We have come so far as a country and it would be stupid to reopen with no PPE.
As far as booking yourself in, Raff and I have suspended all bookings, we will reopen specific days, and times when we have more information and resources to hand. If you have already made a provisional booking please don’t be surprised if this gets cancelled/altered.

So our little business has made it to the grand age of 4 years old.
During this pandemic we have realised that to many of our customers we’re not just a place for a hair cut (don’t get us wrong for some, it really is just that) but to others we’ve become friends and almost family. Your emails and kind wishes during this time has been overwhelming and the requests for purchasing haircuts in advance has really helped the worry. Our philosophy is some what deeper than most shops. It’s not just the case of a quick in and out hair cut for Raff and I, we honestly do care about every single hair cut we give and the chat that goes along with it. We always read all of your reviews and we appreciate every single one!! Thanks for being such awesome and loyal customers. Raff and I (along with our family of course) really wish we could be together today to celebrate but it’s something we will make up for when social distancing isn’t even a thing anymore. Big shout out to mother hen and papa t always working behind the scenes.. bringing Raff his daily lunch and always making sure our banking is done. Also, can’t not mention our company secretary @adam.b_t who is legendary and does all the difficult stuff so Raff and I get to only concentrate solely on cutting hair! ————-- It has been amazing to receive so many messages of concern from you guys! Lots of you have been requesting to purchase gift cards for future use. We currently don't have that system set up on our website and it is hard for us to implement at the moment.
Instead, if you send us an e-mail with the amount you would like to purchase we can send you a direct secure link via text message in order for you to make this transaction. You will obviously receive a confirmation once payment has been received. Please feel free to drop us an email using our 'contact us' page if this is something that might interest you. In line with the advice from the government as it relates to social distancing; we have deemed it too much of a risk for our clients and for ourselves to remain open.
As such, we will be declining any unconfirmed appointments. This also means that we are unable to accept any bookings for the foreseeable future. Please assume any confirmed appointments that were booked in for after the Saturday 21st March are cancelled. This was by no means an easy decision, and we hope to see you all soon! Be sure to follow our other social media page (Instagram: @mandr_barbers) to keep up to date with the shop moving forward. Most importantly, please remember to keep safe and look after yourselves. M&R It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that due to the COVID-19 pandemic we will be reducing our working hours from Saturday 21/03/20. This decision has not been taken lightly and it has been done in the interest of our clients and our safety.
You may have already received emails with bookings cancelled for today and tomorrow, Mariolina due to personal reasons is at risk and has been advised to restrict contact with others as much as possible for at least 2 weeks. For this, we apologise! Mariolina hates to cancel any appointments. During this time, we will continue to communicate via social media and on our website. Please feel free to drop us any messages using the 'contact us' page on our website. May we take this opportunity to thank you for the fantastic support and loyalty you have shown us the last couple of weeks! Unfortunately walk-in Mondays are being suspended indefinitely this is for our safety as well as our clients.
They are advising that places with more than 5 people are to be avoided and as you may already know, walk-in days can get quite busy and build quite a queue. We wil be updating our website and social media as much as possible to keep you in the loop. |
